Sukothai
There's 1 plane a day from CM and from BKK with Bangkok Airways. From CM, the plane arrives at 12.25, from BKK at 10.20 am. They now have a good deal saying you can book the BKK-CM flight for 1.400 Bht, and stop in Sukothai and spend 1 to 3 nights there before flying through (3/99). The Sukothai airport is really very small with I guess not more then 20 to 50 passengers a day (of the 72 passengers on our plane, only 8 got off). So, there are no touts or taxi drivers waiting for you there. The only option you have is taking a shuttle charging between 80 to 160 Bht pp depending on which hotel you go to.

Ko Phi Phi PDF Print E-mail
Ko PP is a really great island with a relaxed atmosphere: no cars, coconut trees, great beaches, etc... Of course, this also means everybody wants to go there so there are a lot of hotels and tourists. I don't think it'll get better once Leonardo Di Caprio's new film "The Beach" will be released, since it was filmed at Maya Beach (PP Leh). How to get there That's easy, only by boat. There are different boats going to PP From Krabi at 10.00 and 14.30, price 150 Bht From Ao Nang and Rai Leh (same boat): 9.00 and 9.30, price 250 Bht From Phuket 8 am and 13.30, price 250 Bht.

Hua Hin PDF Print E-mail
Hua Hin is a pretty touristic by now. It's not so easy to find a Thai restaurant, but Swedish, German or Italian menus are no problem. The rooms of hotels are also quite expensive, especially in high season.

Singapore Tourism PDF Print E-mail
A lot of people going to Asia have to pass through Singapore because they fly with Singapore Airlines. From Singapore there are excellent connections to a lot of Indonesian cities with Silk Air, like Manado, Ujung Pandang, Denpasar, Solo, Mataram, Medan etc..., and all the capitals in the other countries. It can be regarded to be a pain in the ass having to stay for some hours or even a day in Singapore before going home, or before going to Indonesia, but it really shouldn't be. We thought our day in Singapore was well spent, so here are some hints.
